Adana Kentkart

Kentkart has been managing ‘Contactless Smartcard Automatic Fare Collection and
Vehicle Tracking System’ successfully in Adana since the 11th of May 2005. The system
started to move forward in Public Buses of the Adana Metropolitan Municipality on
the 6th of December 2007. It has been servicing a total of 574 buses in Adana with
110 distributers. The population of Adana is roughly 1.5 million and there are over
200.000 Kentkart cards presently in use. The Adana Metropolitan Municipality and
Privately Operated Public Transportation Cooperatives track and report their vehicles
through the Vehicle Tracking System.
