Kentkart has implemented the ‘Contactless Smartcard Automatic Fare Collection and Vehicle
Tracking System’ in Kocaeli on the 27th of January, 2006. It services a total of
80 buses and 8 ferries, and has also been installed at 10 Ferry Piers. The population
of the city is 2 million and 120.000 Kocaeli inhabitants have been using Kentkart.
