Kentkart at Club Italia Conference: TaaS & Smart Mobility in Siena

We are glad to highlight our participation in Club Italia’s Conference & Technical Visit in Siena. The event, held on 20–21 November, brought together mobility experts and industry leaders to explore new approaches to regional transport.

A key theme of the conference was addressing the challenges of diffused low-demand areas and identifying scalable, effective solutions. This is a topic Kentkart knows well, with deployments across Tuscany, Valle d’Aosta, and Lazio. During the sessions, our Business Development Manager, Rossella De Maria, presented a new model: TaaS – Ticketing as a Service. This Kentkart solution enables TPL operators to roll out a complete EMV / contactless / QR-based ticketing and AVM system within just a few months, paid through a monthly fee. This structure helps operators adopt state-of-the-art technology without large upfront investments, distributing costs over several years.

As part of the technical visit, participants experienced Kentkart’s Transport-as-a-Service (TaaS) solution live onboard a Tiemme bus, testing Check-In/Check-Out with EMV cards and mobile QR codes. The demonstration showed how seamless digital ticketing can enhance the travel experience and support smarter mobility.
