Kentkart and SIT Vallée Receive the Smart Ticketing & Mobility Innovation Award

At SMAU Valle d’Aosta 2025, where groundbreaking innovations in public transportation and digital mobility are recognized, SIT Vallèe – the consortia composed of the operators Arriva Italia s.r.l., SVAP S.p.A., and VITA S.p.A. – and Kentkart have been honored with the Smart Ticketing & Mobility Innovation Award for its successful collaboration in Valle d’Aosta, Italy. This prestigious award recognizes Kentkart’s role in revolutionizing electronic ticketing and intelligent transport solutions, making public transit in Valle d’Aosta more accessible, seamless and technologically advanced. 

A Game-Changing Digital Transformation 

Kentkart’s state-of-the-art Automated Fare Collection (AFC) has significantly enhanced the public transport experience in Valle d’Aosta. The system includes: 

• A seamless, Account-Based ticketing system, enabling passengers to purchase and manage fares digitally 

• The Mobile App, allowing travelers to buy tickets, check real-time bus locations, and access Trip Planning tools. 

• EMV contactless payment integration, letting passengers pay directly with credit and debit cards, improving convenience for residents and tourists. 

• Automatic Vehicle Monitoring (AVM) system, enhancing fleet management and service efficiency. 

Thanks to this innovation, over 40% of ticket transactions in Valle d’Aosta have already shifted to digital methods, demonstrating the project’s impact and success.
